It is lyrically and musically perfect, almost as if the scene was written to fit the music, with a stellar soundtrack that boasts David Bowie, The EELS, Devocka, Pure Essence & Tim Booth, creates a mood and tone that makes you want to jump from your cinema seat and dance with the characters.
...Girl Shaped Love Drug is beautifully shot. The framing of the camera work is spectacular.... Meanwhile, fans of John Carney's Once will embrace the drama of the 'will they/won't they?' scenario, whilst aficionados of depth and dexterity of wordplay will revel in the strength of the Script.
There is always room for the re-telling of the classic love story, especially when it is as intelligent, dark and funny as this...
